About the brand

Jason Lollar founded Lollar Pickups in 1992 in Vashon, Washington. Lollar trained as a guitarist and luthier before designing pickups, giving him a unique perspective on how they should sound and interact with the rest of the instrument.

His Telecaster range — the Special T, the Vintage T, and the Blackface T — is considered by many Nashville guitarists to be the finest available at any price. The Imperial humbucker captures the Gibson PAF with clarity and touch response that far exceed mass-production pickups.

The P-90 range is equally acclaimed by blues and indie guitarists. Brad Paisley uses Lollar pickups in his studio and touring guitars. Jason Lollar's book 'Basic Pickup Winding' is considered the definitive technical reference on the subject.
