About the brand

Way Huge Electronics was founded in Los Angeles in the early 1990s by Jeorge Tripps, a former Dunlop engineer. The original run of pedals — including the Swollen Pickle, the Red Llama, and the Aqua Puss — became cult objects. The company closed in the late 1990s, making the originals highly collectable.

Dunlop acquired the Way Huge brand in 2008 and relaunched it with Tripps back at the helm. The reissued Swollen Pickle, Aqua Puss, and Supa-Puss brought the original tones to a wider market. New designs like the Green Rhino overdrive and the Atreides analog weirdo pedal expanded the line.

Way Huge occupies a unique position — boutique credibility backed by Dunlop's manufacturing quality. The brand appeals to players who want original 1990s designs without paying vintage prices, and to those who appreciate the ethos of an independent boutique with the reliability of a large manufacturer behind it.
