Vertex Effects was founded in Los Angeles in 2010 by Brandon Stoner. Stoner's background included extensive work as a touring guitarist and session player, and his pedals reflect the perspective of someone who understands what professionals actually need from their signal chain.

The Steel String Clean Drive is the flagship — a transparent overdrive designed to add harmonic richness and dynamic response to clean amp sounds without imposing a strong sonic character of its own. The Axis Wah is a modification of the classic Cry Baby circuit with expanded tonal range. The UltraPhonic is an ultra-transparent clean boost.
