About the brand

Pigtronix was founded in New York City in 2004 by David Koltai. The company built its reputation on two very different but equally excellent products: the Infinity Looper and the Philosopher's Tone compressor.

The Infinity Looper was the first stereo looper with sync capabilities and MIDI control that was affordable by working musicians. Its ability to run two independent loops that can be set to sync or not sync revolutionised live looping for experimental and electronic-leaning players.

The Philosopher's Tone optical compressor is valued for its ability to add sustain and warmth without the 'squash' associated with fast-attack compressors. It's particularly popular among funk, soul, and R&B players who want the note to bloom rather than be clamped. The Pigtronix Echolution 2 delay is similarly acclaimed for its stereo capability and modulation depth.
