About the brand

Line 6 was founded in 1996 in Calabasas, California. Although best known for their Helix and Pod modelling systems, their early stomp boxes had an enormous impact on modern music. The DL4 Delay Modeler, launched in 1999, included a looper function that changed how guitarists approach live performance.

The DL4's loop station section — 14 seconds of looping time with overdub capability — became the tool of choice for artists like Ed Sheeran, KT Tunstall, and Ben Harper who build entire live performances from a single guitar using layered loops. The pedal essentially created the modern one-person loop act.

Line 6's MM4 Modulation Modeler and FM4 Filter Modeler were equally influential in the early 2000s. Today the HX Stomp brings Line 6's full Helix processing platform into a compact three-switch format that rivals dedicated boutique pedals.
