About the brand

Jim Dunlop founded his company in 1965 and has since produced some of the most recognisable pedals in history. The Cry Baby Wah is simply the world's best-selling and best-known wah pedal. Dunlop also manufactures the legendary Fuzz Face pedals, the Uni-Vibe, and the entire MXR line, which it acquired in the 1980s.

The original Cry Baby GCB95 is a close recreation of the Vox wah circuit that Jimi Hendrix made famous. Over the decades Dunlop has expanded the line to include signature models for Slash, Dimebag Darrell, and Kirk Hammett, as well as specialist versions like the 535Q multi-wah.

Dunlop's acquisition of MXR gave it a dominant position in the effects market. The company now owns or manufactures more iconic pedal brands and designs than any other single entity in the industry.
