About the brand

Bogner Amplification was founded by Reinhold Bogner in Los Angeles in 1989. Bogner's amplifiers — the Ecstasy, the Uberschall, and the Shiva — became legendary for their dynamic, complex high-gain tones. Steve Lukather, Alex Lifeson, and Steve Stevens are among the many players who built their sounds around Bogner amps.

The Bogner pedal line translates the amp circuits into compact format. The Ecstasy Red overdrive is based on the red channel of the Ecstasy amplifier — one of the most musical high-gain circuits ever designed. The Burnley is a germanium distortion that captures a vintage British amp character. The La Grange overdrive emulates the pushed output stage of a vintage Vox.

Bogner pedals are built to the same standard as the amplifiers — premium components, hand-wired boards, and the circuit refinements that come from decades of amplifier design. They are among the most authentic amp-in-a-box pedals available.
