Matteo Mancuso

Matteo Mancuso is a Sicilian guitarist who rose to worldwide fame when his video of 'The Chicken' by Jaco Pastorius went viral in 2022. What surprised the world was not just his speed or precision, but the fact that he plays without a pick, using only the fingers of his right hand.

Born in Palermo, Matteo studied classical music and jazz from childhood. His three-finger right-hand technique allows him to reach speeds and articulations that most guitarists can't achieve even with a pick. The result is a warm, dynamic and extraordinarily expressive tone.

He is now part of several jazz fusion ensembles and has collaborated with internationally renowned artists. His debut album has been acclaimed by critics and musicians alike.
