Hughes & Kettner
The German brand combining precision engineering with technological innovation. Their amplifiers are the choice of guitarists who need versatility without compromising tone.
About the brand
Hughes & Kettner was founded in 1984 in Saarbrücken, Germany. The German brand stood out from the beginning for incorporating innovative technology in its valve amplifiers: tube protection circuits, FSM (Frequency Selective Muting) technology, and later the TubeMeister system with integrated attenuator allowing valve-driven tone at low volumes.
The GrandMeister and TubeMeister are the best-known models in the current range: compact valve amplifiers with integrated attenuator and MIDI, ideal for guitarists who need professional tone in any volume situation. Carlos Santana, Alex Lifeson of Rush and Kirk Hammett have all used Hughes & Kettner at different points in their careers.
The company also produces the Triamp, a three-channel high-gain amplifier with nine possible sound combinations, considered one of the most versatile amplifiers on the market for the professional touring musician.
