About the brand

Bogner Amplification was founded in 1989 by Reinhold Bogner in Los Angeles. Reinhold emigrated from Germany to California with the mission of building the best valve amplifiers in the world. His first clients were the most technically demanding and exacting guitarists in the Los Angeles scene, who spread the word about the extraordinary amplifiers Bogner was building to order.

The Ecstasy is the brand's most celebrated model: a three-channel amplifier with exceptional versatility covering everything from the most expressive clean to the most musical high gain. Steve Stevens, Wayne Kramer and Steve Lukather are among the guitarists who regularly use Bogner. The brand also designed the Uberschall and Shiva amplifiers, each with its own tonal personality.

Bogner is also known for its premium effects pedal line โ€” the Ecstasy Red and Ecstasy Blue are pedal-format captures of the most popular channels of the Ecstasy amplifier. The brand maintains its artisan production in Los Angeles and remains one of the most admired in the boutique segment.
